  1. Population and dissenters: The Parish of Buckland Brewer has above an Hundred Families; her Daughter Chapples East. Putford & Bulkworthy the first about Twenty, the last Twelve. No Dissenters of any Denomination in any of the Three. So no Meeting House, no Teacher.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms-House Hospital or other charitable endowment; no Lands or Tenements left for the Repair of the Church. I have heard indeed that there was formerly given £30, the Interest of which was to have been applied to the use of the <Poor of the> Parish of Buckland Brewer, but by being lodg'd in bad hands, it is come to nothing.

  4. Residence upon cure: I take care of the Parish of Buckland Brewer, and the chapples of East-Putford & Bulkworthy only as a curate during the Sequestration. And being uncertain how long that may continue, I do not Reside in the Parsonage House, but live with my Father at Bideford, about four miles distance.

  5. Curate: This query answer'd in the preceding in every particular but with respect to the last clause. I have no Stated allowance but Submit that to your Lordship.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform Divine Service at any Church besides my own.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform'd twice every Lord's day, with a Sermon in the Morning, every Friday thro' out the Lent, with a Sermon on Good Friday 30th of January, 29. of May 5. of Novr <Prayers on> Monday & Tuesday in Easter week, the like in Whitsun week.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administred four times a year at Buckland Brewer.

  9. Number of communicants: The Parish of Buckland Brewer may have about threescore communicants; about twenty or thirty usually communicate; near Thirty communicated last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: During the Sequestration I have catechis'd the children three times at Buckland Brewer, and once at the Chapples.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There are two chapples within the Parish: Their names East Putford & Bulkworthy: one of the distant four miles the other five miles from the mother Church, and about three miles from each other, and serv'd by me every fourth Sunday. No Chapple in Ruins.
